A: There are two answers to this question.

  1. Yes, Dr. Nishioka does excisions of skin lesions (lumps and bumps) including skin cancers striving for the best cosmetic results. Often insurances cover the skin lesion excisions procedures. He also does scar revisions. There are no restrictions of body area for these procedures.
  2. Dr. Nishioka does not do breast augmentation or reduction, body liposuction, abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), or similar body procedures. Dr. Nishioka does not treat burns. General Plastic Surgeons are the specialists that perform these services. Dr. Nishioka is a Facial Plastic Surgeon who specializes in reconstruction and cosmetic procedures of the face, head and neck.

Q: Do you perform laser surgery?

A: Yes, we do laser skin resurfacing. There are many types of lasers that are specific for different types of procedures, which can be confusing.
