Introducing: EarWell® Infant Ear Systems
A novel non-surgical system to reshape child ear malformations
Willamette ENT is proud to announce the use of EarWell® infant ear systems, a new non-surgical system that helps reshape malformations in a child’s ear. The procedure is pain-free and does not affect a child’s ability to hear.

What is the EarWell® system?
The EarWell® system addresses various infant ear deformities that children experience from an early age. Invented by Dr. Steve Byrd[1], the EarWell® ear molding device helps correct malformations in ear cartilage. Byrd and his colleagues believed that there had to be an easier way to treat ear deformities, which can lead to many children experiencing anxiety due to teasing or low self-esteem[2].
How does it work?
Many common ear deformities are found within two weeks of birth, which is when a child’s ear cartilage is still moldable due to the amount of maternal estrogen in the baby’s system. Once doctors identify any issues, the EarWell® system can reshape an infant’s ear to a more correct position over time. What results are normal shaped ears by the time the child is two months old. The EarWell® may even prevent the need for surgical correction, known as otoplasty, in the future.
Does your infant need treatment?
At least 33% of Infants are born with misshapen ears[3]. If you suspect that one or both of your infant child’s ears has a peculiar shape, be sure to share your concerns with your pediatrician. They can then make a proper referral if additional intervention is needed. Molding must start as soon as possible for the best result.

“Have always found the staff and doctors here to be helpful. This was my first visit with Dr. Prze after Dr. Allan retired, and he was very friendly, enthusiastic, and thorough. It was obvious he had read my chart carefully before my checkup.”
